The Reasons Why Initiative
In the United States alone, there were 1.6 million suicide attempts in 2022. It is reported that one person dies by suicide every 11 minutes, and 12.8 million American adults seriously consider committing suicide. It stands as the second leading cause of death for individuals aged 10 - 14 and the third leading among 15 - 24 year olds. The Reasons Why Initiative targets suicide prevention and aims to encourage members of the public to support each other by sharing reasons why they keep going in life. Whether it be a person, a special memory, or even something as simple as a meal, we want to know what keeps you going, not only in life but also on a bad day or to achieve your goals.
